The reopening of rail link between Munabao and Khokhrapar is likely to be delayed by two weeks as India and Pakistan would be holding discussions for finalising the agreement in end of this month.

A Railway Ministry spokesman said that a 10-member Indian delegation led by Advisor (Traffic) Railway Board Ashok Gupta will be holding talks with their counterparts in Islamabad on January 30 and 31.

The talks were earlier scheduled for January 23 and 24.

"Consequently, the reopening of the rail link is likely to be delayed by about two weeks," the spokesman said.

Earlier, the train -- Thar Express -- was expected to roll on February 1 from Munabao in Rajasthan to Khokhrapar in Sindh.

Rail links between Munabao and Khokhrapar were snapped in 1965 in the wake of Indo-Pak conflict.

India and Pakistani officials had held talks on reopening the rail link on January 6 this year.
