Lush and thick grass makes the outfield very fast.

The highest score on this ground is 349 for nine by New Zealand in 1999 when Nathan Astle slammed 120 — the highest score at the venue .

The last time India played here in (2000 against Zimbabwe), the home team posted a heathy total of 301 for six and won the match easily.

India's record at this venue, though, has been something to boast about. The hosts have played six one-dayer, won two and lost four.
