Murder case against CRPF personnel

Police registered a murder case against the CRPF personnel who opened fire on protesters killing a youth in curfew-bound Baramulla town of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

Police on Tuesdsay night registered a murder case against the CRPF personnel who opened fire on protesters killing a youth in curfew-bound Baramulla town of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

The state government also decided to withdraw the CRPF from the town from tomorrow and replace them with the armed police.

Fayaz Ahmad Gojri, a resident of Khanpora locality, was killed when he was hit by a bullet in the chest during protest demonstration in the locality this evening, sources said.

They said IG CRPF has gone to Baramulla to ascertain whether metal or rubber bullets were fired by the paramilitary today.

Thousands of people in the old Baramulla town violated the curfew and took out a march to protest yesterday's firing by police which left two youth dead.
