Mutilated bodies of a woman and four children were found on the railway track near Gorakhpur.

Mutilated bodies of a woman and four children were found on the railway track near Domhar railway crossing under Sahjanwa police station, about 20 kms from Gorakhpur, police said on Friday.

The bodies were sighted by a railway gangman on Thursday night, who informed the police. It is not clear whether the woman and children were from the same family, they said.

The woman appears to be around 35 years old and the children between two to seven years. The bodies were sent for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, a man said to be mentally ill was crushed to death by a train in Camperganj area, 35 kms from Gorakhpur, police said.
