Mutwalli Imambara panels to launch stir

THE MUTWALLI of Imambara Committees have decided to launch a movement against the administration?s failure to work out the tazia theft case. They said that gold and silver items were stolen recently the tiazia kept at Mian Bazar under Kotwali police station.

They said that gold and silver items were stolen recently the tiazia kept at Mian Bazar under Kotwali police station.

Syed Irshad Ahmad strongly condemned the police officials for their lackadaisical attitude towards the case. He said the insensitive attitude of the police towards the case sparked resentment among the members of a particular community who would intensify their agitation.

Irshad said that the police were trying to wind up the case after the alleged fake encounter of Nikku alias Abdullah. The police killed a criminal, Nikku alias Abdullah, in connection with the case. He demanded that the gold and silver stolen from the tazia should be recovered

Earlier, the Mutwalli of Shahi Imambara Farrukh Adnan Shah gave an ultimatum to the district administration to work out the case. The members of the committee would go to the State Capital to hand over a memorandum to Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.
