Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Raj Thackeray on Thursday said his arrest was the fallout of Maharashtra government "caving in" to the pressures of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar lobbies.
"Though I did not break any law while launching an agitation for Maharashtra and Marathi-speaking people, the state government arrested me only because of pressure from UP and Bihar political lobby," said Thackeray who had targeted North Indians in Maharashtra and Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan.
Raj was arrested on Wednesday on charges of promoting enmity among groups and released on bail soon afterwards.
