NABARD allocates funds for govt schools in Sirsa

The National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has allocated funds to provide basic amenities to students of government schools in the district. Under the funding scheme, Rs 1.5 lakh has been earmarked for girls' bathrooms and Rs 50,000 for portable drinking water.

The school managements will supervise the construction work. "NABARD has surveyed the water crisis in schools. The department has received the funds. In some schools, construction has started," said Vinod Pachar, sub-divisional officer (SDO), civil, district project convener.
