Speaking to reporters here, he alleged that the EC is "more responsive to unfounded complaints of opposition parties, specially about the so-called irregularities in electoral rolls".

The Commission also interfered in the purchase of chillies made by the Andhra Pradesh government as a market intervention measure to prevent exploitation of glut in chillies by the traders, he said.

Referring to complaints about defects in Electronic Voting Machines (EVM), Naidu said state government has nothing to do with these and "it was exclusively the domain of EC".

Naidu also attacked the opposition parties, specially Telagana Rastra Samithi (TRS), of indulging in vulgar and indecent language.

The language used by TRS chief T Chandrashekhar Rao was "shocking", he said.

Naidu also took a dig at some newspapers, accusing them of cooking up opinion and exit polls in conformity with their political leaning.
