In the letter Naidu highlighted the unauthorised constructions by Karnataka government of projects in Krishna basin in gross violation of the provisions of the award, an official release said here on Sunday.

He also urged to re-examine the projects erroneously sanctioned by the Central Water Commission (CWC) in the Tungabhadra sub basin and to direct the Karnataka government to forthwith stop construction of Upper Tunga Project and revoke the clearances given to the four projects Upper Tunga Project, Hire Haila tank, Upper Hire nalla and Maskinala.

Naidu also recalled the contention of the two states at a meeting convened by the CWC and urged them to consider the issue and direct Karnataka government to stop works on all the four projects, the release added.
