A former Pakistani 1987 Reliance World Cup team member, Nasir is a right arm leg spinner. He toured Zimbabwe with Pakistan ‘A’ team.
His deceptive googly and deadly spin have claimed many a prized wicket, one being that of Viv Richards, Roger Harper and Gus Logie in 1986.
It is perhaps his best performance in his 11 first class games and certainly the most memorable. It is no coincidence that one of his favourite cricketer is Abdul Qadir and Imran Khan.
Javed is amongst the best spinners in the US today. As captain of the Pakistan Cricket Club in the South Florida Cricket Association, he took figures of 7 for 28, which included a hat-trick.
He was one of the most conspicuous players that represented the US National team in Canada in the ICC Trophy Tournament. Nasir was the team’s leading wicket-taker as he as had a number of batsmen perplexed after facing just a few deliveries.
