Prashant’ family has lodged a non-cognizable report against the teacher, DD Mishra, at the Hazratganj police station. Talking to Hindustan Times, principal DS Chauhan said a show-cause notice would be issued to Mishra.
According to the student, the incident took place around 9:30 am when the teacher asked him to open the page of a certain chapter. As Prashant took some time in doing so, the teacher came up to him and started hitting him with his walking stick.
Prashant’s family members have alleged that the teacher always carries a pistol with him, even in his classes. Chauhan also confirmed this fact adding Mishra was told in the past not to carry the weapon. He also said the teacher suffered from high blood pressure.
