After an executive committee meeting at Guwahati, NCP leader Purno A Sangma said the party decided to support the Congress-led government in Assam from "inside" without any condition at the present.

Reacting to the results, he said the party "accepted the verdict of the people". The reason for the poor show was being analysed, Sangma said.

The party would have an extended executive committee meeting at Guwahati on May 23 when the analysis on election results would be done.
