Police arrested the main accused after the girl's parents filed a complaint.

Though the incident occurred on June 27, the police were notified only on July 12 — after the victim narrated the incident to her parents.

"We have arrested the main accused, 21-year-old Shashank Kashyap, while his cousin Raja — who allegedly filmed the act — is still to be nabbed," said Dahod SP Nipuna Torwane. Police said Shashank committed the act after she spurned his advances.
