NER GM inspects Railway colonies

GENERAL MANGER of the NE Railway Sukhbir Singh inspected the railway colonies in the district to get a first hand information about the basic amenities being provided to the residents. He had constituted a three-member committee to monitor the sanitation and basic amenities. The members of the committees would contact the residents personally and advise them to register complaints. He inspected the Baulia and Bichhia colonies and directed the officials to install a chlorination plant at the pumping house.

He inspected the Baulia and Bichhia colonies and directed the officials to install a chlorination plant at the pumping house. He directed the engineering department to develop a park at the garbage dumping ground.

He directed the GRP and the RPF personnel to ensure proper security of the railway colonies and express displeasure at the chain snatching incidents in these colonies. While he was inspecting the railway school, he discussed the problems of the employees.

However, he was not happy about the drainage system in Baulia railway colony and directed the engineering department official to repair it.
