Nicolas Cage has sold his 500-year-old Neidstein castle in Germany after paying a staggering 2.3 million dollars for it three years ago.
The actor was said to have visited the historical Bavarian property only once after adding it to his assets.
According to Roman Berr, the mayor of nearby Etzelwanger, a lawyer now held the ownership to the castle.
Cage also owns another castle in England, the 18th Century Midford Castle, on the outskirts of Bath.
He recently revealed his fondness for the English retreat.
"The castle is in a process of restoration and hasn't been finished yet,” Contactmusic quoted him as telling British radio station Heart.
“It's a long process. It's from the 1700s and it needs quite a bit of love.
"It's more like a castle of the imagination. It's more of a (Alice in Wonderland author) Lewis Carroll-type castle actually; quite fantastical and all that," he added.
