Nine members of a marriage party were killed and three others injured when a high tension electric wire fell on them early on Sunday morning, police said.
About a dozen members of the marriage party were sleeping on top of a bus when the electric wire fell on them, setting the vehicle afire, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kanpur, PC Meena said.
The marriage party had arrived at Pathakpur village from Kannoj.
