NN official asked to start nullah cleaning work

NAGAR NIGAM administrator Amrit Abhijat has directed the Municipal Commissioner Gaya Prasad to start nullah cleaning work ward-wise and publicise it through handbills and other mediums so that residents should know the dates of cleaning in their respective areas.

He also requested the public and people’s representatives to ensure that quality work was done while cleaning of nullah by the NN staff in their areas otherwise they should report to the municipal commissioner.

Administrator inspected Jawaharlal Nehru and Dandiya nullahs on Friday morning to apprise himself with the ongoing cleaning work there. He also objected to the manual cleaning being carried out in Jawaharlal Nehru nullah and suggested to use machine for it.

He was apprised of the problem by a number of citizens during the inspection. Former corporator Kamlesh Singh raised the issue of having no proper strength of junior engineers at NN, as a result many work got affected. Administrator said he would write to the principal secretary in this direction.
