EVEN 48 hours after of the alleged abduction of police ASI Dinesh Dixit the identity of abductors could not be ascertained. The police found a glass of the spectacles of Dixit in the forest. The ASI was allegedly kidnapped at the Semriya Tiraha.

The police have cordoned off the area and have launched a search. Dixit was in charge of police post of Mata Bassia in Morena district.

He was going to Ghatigaon to see the crop cultivated on his land. At the same time some unidentified persons kidnapped him on Saturday night. His motorbike was found in Semriya forest. But the identity of the gang of the dacoit could not be established so far.

The police were told that the dacoit gangs of Gadaria and Vakila Gurjar had been moving in Ghatigaon circle for the last one week and some armed miscreants were seen roaming in the forest. The police also suspect the hand of Rathore who wanted to purchase the land of Dinesh Dixit. Some criminal-minded Banjaras have also been camping around the land of Dinesh Dixit.

A large number of members of the Brahman community today met Gwalior SP Manjeet Singh Narang after taking out a procession and raising slogans. They submitted a memorandum to Narang demanding immediate release Dixit from the dacoits. They also demanded that atrocities on the Brahman community should be stopped.

The SP assured them that the police were seriously trying to locate and rescue Dixit.
