No entertainment tax on Mardaani in Madhya Pradesh
The latest Rani Mukherjee movie Mardaani, which focuses on child trafficking would be free of entertainment tax in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has made this announcement.
Rani Mukherjee starrer Mardaani would be free of entertainment tax in Madhya Pradesh. Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made an announcement about waiving the tax after watching the film on Sunday evening.
Talking to newspersons, Chouhan said the movie has raised a serious issue and it aims at empowering women in society. "I appreciate Rani Mukherjee for playing a bold and excellent role in the movie," he said.
Chouhan also said child trafficking is a major issue and the film has successfully highlighted it. "The society, the police and the government, all should make concerted and serious efforts to tackle the issue. It would be in the interest of society to make the movie free from entertainment tax".
