Kashmir freezes over In south Kashmir, the minimum temperature at the Pahalgam resort plunged to -7.4°C. In Gulmarg, the mercury slipped to -11.4°C. In Leh district of Ladakh region, the temperature slipped to -16.2°C and in Kargil mercury plunged to -12.8°C.
Jharkhand too shivers Cold conditions continued in parts of Jharkhand with Kanke, on the outskirts of the state capital, recording 3°C on Thursday. Ranchi recorded a minimum of 7.2°C while the maximum was 23.2°C. No deaths have been reported in the state.
Bihar’s coldest day A cold wave swept across Bihar with minimum temperatures plummeting on Thursday as the state experienced the coldest day of the season. Patna recorded a minimum of 6.5°C, while Gaya remained the coldest at 4.4°C.
