Warsi has written the story himself. "I had this idea which I developed into a script. I don't want to give away my creation to any other production house," he says, explaining the launch of his banner Shooting Stars.
New direction Jaideep Sen, currently directing Rakesh Roshan's Krazzy4, will helm Angle. "He loved the script and insisted only I could play the lead even though I warned him that he'd have to wait for my dates for at least two years," Warsi laughs. His business manager eventually sorted out Warsi's date hassles.
The film is being backed by a corporate major. Warsi's wish list for the cast includes Naseeruddin Shah and Konkona Sen Sharma.
Warsi began his career as an assistant to Mahesh Bhatt in Kaash and Thikana. According to him, he was even offered a film to direct. He refused then. Warsi, the fledgling producer, says that sooner or later, he'll direct a film for sure.
