The German World Cup organisation committee will fine streakers at World Cup Football matches 10,000 euros, in an effort to stamp out such behaviour, Chongqing Evening News reported.

The committee and the German Football Association have collaborated to ensure the tournament proceeds in an orderly way. They have set up a special station to monitor the behaviour of fans and prevent them from exposing themselves on camera.

Streakers have become a major headache for game organisers.

During last year's Federation Cup in Frankfurt, Germany, several streakers made it on to the field. There are several organisations in Europe, like "Jimmy Jump" whose members aim to disrupt matches by running on to the field or streaking.

The committee has erected nine fences in nine stadiums and mobilised an army of staff to maintain order and prevent disruption of the matches.

The World Cup will kick off in Germany on June 9.
