"We are going to join Facebook soon. The page will be user-friendly. A dedicated team is working on it and it will be launched by the next week. We want to reach maximum people and Facebook will provide us that platform," said Sheel Madhur, inspector general of the bureau.
"We want to make people aware about the vigilance department system and need their help to fight corruption. The page will also make our system transparent and accountable," said Madhur.
The state vigilance bureau has intensified its anti-graft drive and booked 15 officials for indulging in corruption till April this year. Last year, only 22 cases were registered, an official said.
The bureau, which has 22 sanctioned posts, has been functioning with only 12 officials.
