Oberoi, who was in Karnal on Monday said that his Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust would ensure higher education to children whose mothers were lodged in various prisons of the state.
He said it was from a media report that he came to know about the plight of the system, where children had to suffer in jails.
“It was sad to know that these innocent lives were suffering for no faults of theirs. I opened six crèches-cum-schools in Punjab and provided reverse osmosis (RO) system for safe drinking water and I am keen to do the same in Haryana as well,” he said adding that Ambala, Karnal, Sirsa had been planned for similar projects.
