The officials in the chief secretary’s office called the police after the received the mysterious packet. A bomb squad opened the packet and found a fuse used to trigger explosive along with a letter written in red ink.
Police lodged a complaint in the Capital police station here and are trying to ascertain the identity of the sender.
“We are examining the contents of the packet now. The packet is similar to the one that had been received at the office of the State Election Commission and has come from the same area in Dhenkanal district,” said Bhubaneswar police commissioner BK Sharma.
Police said both the letter talked about same problems – repairing of some hospital and closure of liquor outlets in the Kankadahada area in the district, about 100 km west of Bhubaneswar
