Michael Jackson wore his creations and now this designer is all set to showcase his creations at the Lakme India Fashion Week. Meet Abdul Halder: specialist in western wear, who held a preview of his collection Halder Miraya's at Tabula Rasa.

His collection comprises evening gowns with 'flattery falls', short dresses, wedding gowns, corsets and jackets. A graduate from the Pearl Acade- my of Fashion, Halder calls his line "flamboyant where silhouettes are the priority" He reasons, "Minimum embroidery and embellishments are used in order to compliment the garment."
The fabrics put to use are English net (nylon based), taffetta (satin), pure dupion (thick china silk), raw silk, chiffon and crepe. The line is meant for cocktail wear The pr&t line collection caters to niche as well as elite clientele. An Abdul Halder creation ranges from Rs 6,000 to Rs 12,000.
The designer has something in store for men too. Halder's label offers contemporary long jackets, formal jackets, tuxedos and sherwanis for the stylish lot.
