Officials pulled up for slow pace of work

He asked the officials to go from village to village and ensure quality in ongoing construction works.

He instructed the CDOs to ensure that block development officers visited two villages daily and widows’ pension forms were duly filled. He asked the district magistrates to bring quality in pond digging work. Tripathi emphasised that the SDMs, BDOs, medical officers and junior engineers posted in every block should also visit two villages daily in the morning. Revenue, tax , stamp and registration power and cooperatives officials were asked to speed up work in order to achieve the fixed target. Power department officials were allowed to ask junior engineers to recover due payments from defaulters by fixing monthly target. He asked Education officials why excess examinees were allowed to appear in UP Board examinations.

The commissioner said that during physical inspection of work in the division 106 officers and employees were found neglecting duty and were facing action. Out of them 28 were suspended and seven were given adverse entries, said the commissioner. DM Allahabad, Amrit Abhijat, DM Fatehpur, Giridharilal, DM Kaushambi, Sachidanand Pathak, DM Pratapgrah, RS Verma and other senior officers were present.
