Oil India Limited (OIL) has donated Rs 40 lakh to the Chief Minister's relief fund for victims of the recent ethnic clashes in Assam's Karbi Anglong district.

The public sector major contributed the amount for those affected by last year's ethnic clashes in the district, OIL Administrative Officer Tridib Duvarah said in a statement.
As part of its social commitment, the company has also donated Rs 60 lakh to the CM's relief fund for flood-affected families, besides other contributions to various state bodies, he added.
