Omar Abdullah to meet Musharraf next month

National Conference President Omar Abdullah will meet President Prevez Musharraf for the first time next month to discuss various options on Kashmir issue.
Abdullah will be undertaking his maiden visit to Pakistan in the second week of March.
Omar would be in Islamabad to attend a conference on Kashmir being organised by Pugwash, a European think-tank engaged in finding solutions to problems in South Asia.
When approached to confirm about his visit and meeting with Musharraf, Omarsaid, "I have received a word through intermediatories that I will be meeting the leadership of Pakistan including President Musharraf to discuss various solutions that have been put forth with a view to resolve the decades old issue."
Omar would be the second member from his family who would be travelling to Pakistan after his grandfather Sheikh Abdullah had visited Pakistan and its occupied Kashmir in early 1960s.
Asked about his agenda for talks with Musharraf, he said "National Conference is clear that a solution to the Kashmir issue is to be found on the pattern on the autonomy resolution passed by the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly and by involving all three regions of the state."
