Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah, who is active on social media, on Monday crossed one million followers mark on micro-blogging site Twitter.

"ONE MILLION!!! Never thought I'd ever reach this milestone. Thank you very much every one of the 1,000,000 of you. It's been a great journey," Omar wrote on his Twitter handle.

The former chief minister and National Conference leader is known for interacting with the people on the social media and often shares frank and prompt views on national and international issues.
