"One terrorist has been killed so far and the gunfight is still on in Chinkipora residential area of Sopore," a senior police officer told IANS. Sopore, 54 km from here, is located in north Kashmir.

The gunfight began early Saturday when security forces asked militants hiding inside a house to surrender, upon which the militants resorted to indiscriminate gunfire, police said.
