One person injured in train-truck collision

One person was injured when a passenger train collided with a truck at an unmanned railway crossing near Farukkhabad railway station on Thursday.

The Shikohabad bound passenger train rammed into the truck at an unmanned crossing barely a kilometre away from the railway station. The truck was loaded with LPG cylinders of the Indian Oil Corporation which is resulted in an explosion said the police.

The truck caught fire in the and its driver was seriously injured, said the police, adding that the engine of the train had also sustained some damage.

Senior officials rushed to the spot and fire tenders were called to service to douse the flames, they said.
