One terrorist was killed and another was injured in an encounter with security forces at Harwan on the outskirts of the city early Saturday morning.

A terrorist, identified by his aliases of Setha and Arsalan, was killed in a gunbattle with security forces at Harwan, the sources said.

The encounter broke out when the forces cordoned off the area where the two men were hiding, they said.

Another terrorist tried to escape from the scene in an injured condition but was nabbed by the security personnel and handed over to police, sources said, adding that the injured terrorist was identified as Sajad Ahmad Dar.
