The system was launched by Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhury Mohan Jatua at a function in New Delhi.

The online application system was operationalised after officials found that many of the applications were incomplete and applicants were not able to fill up many technical details.

"We have made the system user friendly. The system will facilitate applicants to upload all their documents in the website in a scanned format. This will be forwarded to concerned departments on the same day," an official said.
