Over 30 people, including eight children, were admitted to Cooper Hospital in the wee hours on Monday after they had food served at a wedding reception in suburban Andheri, civic authorities said.

After consuming food at the reception held in the New Chawl at Andheri on Sunday night, people began complaining of nausea and started vomiting. They were then taken to the Cooper Hospital in the wee hours, they said.

Those admitted to the hospital include 16 men, nine women and eight children, authorities said.

Of the total admitted, five have been discharged, they added.
