Pakistan has appointed Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Shehzad Chaudhry to succeed its High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Bashir Wali Mohmand, who escaped a Claymore mine attack in Colombo on Monday, a media report said on Thursday.

Chaudhry would replace Muhammad, whose service contract as high commissioner has ended, Dawn quoted officials as saying.
Muhammad, a retired Intelligence Bureau Chief, was already scheduled to travel back to Pakistan by the beginning of next week, it said.
