Pak 'capable of securing its N-assets'

Masood Ahmed Khan said that Pakistan's nuclear assets are under foolproof security parameters and its safety can be surely guaranteed.

Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesman Masood Ahmed Khan on Wednesday said that Pakistan's nuclear assets are under foolproof security parameters and its safety can be surely guaranteed.

He said all the allegations raised against Pakistan by the 'Time" magazine report are baseless and unfounded, Dawn quoted, Khan as saying.

"Pakistan, a responsible nuclear state is being targeted by certain elements who in fact do not like us to have this status."

He said Pakistan has developed its nuclear assets under very hard conditions to ensure its sovereignty, independence and a check against external aggression adding "it is our duty to ensure the security of these assets."
