Pak in Ahmedabad for less than 48 hours
The Pakistan cricket team, which arrived in Delhi on Monday for a 50-day tour, would stay for less than 48 hours in Ahmedabad which will host the fourth One-Day International between the arch-rivals on April 12.
As per the details of the travel schedule finalised for the visitors by the Indian cricket board, Pakistan would land in Ahmedabad at 1055 hours on April 11 after taking a morning flight from Mumbai where they will arrive a day earlier.
The squad will depart from Ahmedabad, a venue which almost derailed the tour following Pakistan's reservations over playing a match in the city, to Delhi on the night of April 12 soon after conclusion of the match.
Ahmedabad, which witnessed communal riots in 2002, was earlier slated to host a Test match but Pakistan rejected the venue citing security reasons. The matter was subsequently sorted out and Pakistan agreed to play a ODI in the city.
