Pandher in jail hospital

Moninder Singh Pandher, awarded death penalty in the sensational Rimpa Halder murder case, has been shifted to jail hospital after he developed high blood pressure and sugar levels, jail authorities said.

Moninder Singh Pandher, awarded death penalty in the sensational Rimpa Halder murder case, has been shifted to jail hospital after he developed high blood pressure and sugar levels, jail authorities said on Thursday.

He was hospitalised after he complained of high blood pressure on Wednesday night. His condition is stable as sugar and blood pressure levels are under control, Jail Superintendent VK Singh said.

Pandher is admitted to the hospital and heavy security arrangements have been made for the businessman, he said.

District Magistrate Mrityunjay Kumar Narayan said adequate medical care was given to the death convict and that he would be referred to another hospital only on emergency.

Pandher and his domestic aide Surendra Koli were awarded capital punishment in connection with killing of Rimpa Halder, one of the victims in the sensational Nithari murder cases.
