Parents barge into Faridabad school
The fee hike issue in Faridabad has started getting out of the district administration’s hand, reports Prabhu Razdan.
The fee hike issue in Faridabad has started getting out of the district administration’s hand.

Parents barged into a school at Sector 28 and held a demonstration inside on Tuesday. The school management had to call police to defuse the situation. After parents shouted slogans against the management, the school assured them to accept in letter and spirit the decision of the district administration.
The administration has sent notices to over 30 schools, directing them to submit details about income and expenditure. At their last meeting, it was decided that the details were to be submitted by April 3, but the schools did not comply.
“We will write to the education department and seek instructions,” VS Hooda, Faridabad’s additional deputy commissioner said, confessing that only a few schools had responded to his notice.
Parents alleged an officials-school administration nexus. “The district administration is supporting the school managements and ignoring the plea of parents,” said NL Jangid, president of the Faridabad unit of Abibavak Ekta Manch.
