A patient allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of Stanley government hospital in Chennai on Sunday.

Police said Suresh Babu (42), who suffered from stomach pain, jumped from the hospital's seventh floor after he was unable to bear the pain.

He had been complaining of severe stomach pain for the last few days, the sources said.
