PCC Secretary dissolves zonal unit

Anand, along with his supporters, was expected to join the Puducherry Munnetra Congress (PMC).

Anand, Pondicherry Pradesh Congress Committee Secretary and President of the Bussy Zonal Congress, on Tuesday dissolved the Zonal unit.

He, along with his supporters, was expected to join the Puducherry Munnetra Congress (PMC).

Anand, who was nurturing the Bussy constituency and was an aspirant to contest from the constituency, though it was held by the DMK.

With the Congress signing a pact with the DMK to contest the elections on Monday, Anand was denied the chance to contest from Bussy. Hence, he took the extreme step.
