Areas like Palam Vihar and New Palam Vihar, Laxman Vihar, Ashok Vihar, New Colony, Madanpuri and Huda sectors are the worst affected. Besides, areas in new Gurgaon are equally affected.

“On Sunday, the authorities imposed cuts of five-six hours. Things were no different on Monday and Tuesday,” said Ajai Govil, a resident of Palam Vihar, adding that officials of the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) did not attend to their calls.

Meanwhile, power cuts also affected water supply in most parts of the city.

DHBVN superintending engineer (SE) Subhash Deswal, said, “The DHBVN is not responsible for this. The fault is at the generation level and the department concerned should rectify it at the earliest.”
