A petrol bunk employee was Tiruchengode near here was assaulted on Monday and robbed of Rs 12 lakh in cash by two motorcyle borne persons, police said.
Police said the man was on his way to a bank to deposit the money when the two accosted him, threw chilli powder on his eyes and escaped with the bag containing the cash.
