“ONCE IN a life your stars spin and show you the way. Just pick up the signal when the almighty shows it to you,” says renowned comedian and laughter king Ehsaan Qureshi whose life changed after being selected for the Laughter Challenge Show. Ehsaan was in the City today for a show at Life Care Hospital.

Laughter he says is the best medicine and without happiness life is like a desert. Ehsaan, who has worked as a teacher and then in Government public welfare department, quit the job when he got selected in the Laughter Show.

Being a comedian he says, he always takes care that he does not cross certain limits and his show can be viewed by audience of all age groups.

While speaking about his special and unique Bundelkhandi village style, he says, “I have just added little chocolate to it and body language is of course the most important ingredient.” The simple man from Seoni who became a laughter king now utilises the opportunity to spread social issues messages. He says, “We always make our jokes from our surroundings and our daily life experience and why not add a message to it when people love to hear us.”

Talking about ‘Laughter Challenge Part II’ Ehsaan said he sees a lot of potential in K K Naikar from Jabalpur and agrees that originality has its own importance.

“How long can one mimic others,” he asks. “Comedy is not easy to produce as it requires hard work to make other people laugh,” he added.

Currently working in two films ‘Ek se Bure do’ and ‘Bombay to Goa’ Ehsaan also has a number of advertisements in his kitty. Being in the field for last 20 years, Ehsaan is inspired by Mehmood, Asrani, Jagdeep and Johnny Lever.
