“I have been framed,” Pramanik, 26, said after coming out of Dum Dum Central Correctional Home around 9.30am.

On Anamika Acharya, the woman who has levelled the charges against her, she said, “She used to do my chores. She had demanded money from me long back, but I didn’t give it and she took this path.”

Acharya, 30, described as Pramanik’s live-in partner, had fainted outside the Barasat chief judicial magistrate court after the athlete got bail.
