In the largest ever haul, police in the UK have netted pirated Bollywood DVDs in a raid which netted more than five million pounds worth of counterfeit goods.

Acting on a tip-off, officers targeted units in Hayes, near Southhall, and confiscated almost two million items. The estimated 13 tonnes of merchandise included around 200,000 counterfeit DVDs, three-quarters of which were Indian titles, as well as CDs and sports goods, police said on Saturday.

Four people were arrested and three cars were seized, with more arrests expected to follow. More than 6,000 pounds in cash was also recovered.

Code-named "Operation Don", after a Bollywood action blockbuster, the investigation was led by Ealing Council's trading standards officer.
