Twelve people were killed and more than 52 injured, in two near-simultaneous bomb blasts triggered in the busy commercial Fancy Bazaar and Noonmati area of the city.

Duggal will review the situation with senior officials of the Army, paramilitary and the police.

Meanwhile the Centre has convened a high-level meeting on Monday to discuss the security situation in Assam.
