Mahana also reminded Garg about the promises made by him especially about the installation of a 160 mva transformer at Naubasta grid sub-station. Mahana also raised the issue about the long-pending construction of a new 220 mva substation at Jajmau.

Replying to the queries raised by the BJP leader, Garg said, “A 160 mva transformer has been procured and it will be installed within eight days
at Naubasta sub-station.” On the construction of a new sub-station at Jajmau, he replied that land at Ruma had been identified and construction work of the substation would start soon.

The MD also informed Mahana that a 20 mva transformer for Krishna Nagar sub-station had been procured and would be installed soon. While a 60 mva transformer would also be installed at Riverside Power House (RPH).

Garg also apprised the BJP leader that energy audit of a feeder running from Harrisganj to Harding Road would be carried out to ensure interrupted supply of power.

The MD also stated that proposal for a sub-station at Ghantaghar would be finalised soon.

The MD also stressed that those feeders would be kept free from rostering from which 100 per cent revenue would be realised. Mahana also inquired about non-activation of new powerline which was laid at Apsara picture hall last November and installation of a transformer at the same place.

On this Garg ensured Mahana that the new power line would be activated within 15 days and a transformer would also be installed there.

Prominent persons present on the occasion included PN Rai, Virendra Vajpayee, Sunil Sahu and BD Rai.
