General Hasnain was addressing a two-day seminar on human rights organized by the army’s under the title ‘Evolution of Human Rights in Kashmir and its relevance today’.
Gen Hasnain also stressed on the aspect of “heart being the central concept to the thinking of the Army today”.
Lt Gen KT Parnaik, army commander Northern Command delivered the key note address at the seminar organised by the army’s Chinar Corps. Gen Parnaik in his speech emphasised the importance of human rights not only for the Army alone, but for the civil society as a whole. He also deliberated over the Army’s philosophy of ‘Minimum Force and Acting in Good Faith’ and reiterated that the Indian Army has zero tolerance for the human rights.
